Chapter 360 Enemies meet on a narrow road

Brann Bronzebeard... a self-proclaimed adventurer, the younger brother of the King of Ironforge in the dwarven kingdom...

Lorraine had heard of the dwarves' exploits; in fact, the dwarves had always been reliable allies within the Stormwind Alliance... Of course, this mainly refers to the Bronzebeard dwarves of Ironforge and some Wildhammer dwarves of Ark's Nest.

The glory of the dwarven kingdom once surpassed that of the human Arathor Empire... The southern part of the Arathi Highlands, stretching all the way to Blackrock Mountain, was dwarven territory.

However, after the death of the original dwarf king, Mordemus & Anvilmar, the dwarves split into three factions. Among them, the Bronzebeard dwarves, with their powerful army, drove the Dark Iron dwarves and Wildhammer dwarves out of Ironforge.

Bronzebeard and Madolan of House Bronzebeard were crowned kings, but Emperor Thaurissan of the Dark Iron dwarves and Prince Kalderos of the Wildhammer dwarves were dissatisfied and fought amongst themselves in their respective territories...

The dwarven kingdom was long divided, while the human kingdoms flourished in various places. The rulers of the Eastern Kingdoms were mainly descendants of the human Arathor Empire... the blue Stormwind Kingdom, the white Lordaeron Kingdom, the purple Dalaran, the green Kul Tiras Island, the black Gilneas, the orange Alterac Mountain Kingdom, and finally Stromgarde (the red Stormgard Kingdom).

Dwarves and humans coexisted...trading and learning from each other...

Overall, things are relatively harmonious... Dwarves are not as adept at dealing with different races and sharing territory as humans... They are known for their forging and drinking.

From the very beginning of the mage city of Dalaran, the human kingdoms learned magic from the high elves, metallurgy from the dwarves, fought trolls and barbarians, seized the best lands and resources, and developed their cities...

Humans are inferior to elves, dwarves, and gnomes in terms of natural lifespan and physical strength.

Their learning ability and talent were astonishing, and they quickly surpassed their teachers. With their adventurous spirit, rapid reproduction, and skill in diplomacy and trade, they became the overlords of the Eastern Kingdom.

At that time, the strongest kingdoms were the Kingdom of Lordaeron in the north and the Kingdom of Stormwind in the south, with a subtle rivalry between them... Dalaran in the middle acted as a protector, maintaining order in the eastern kingdoms...

Until the Dark Portal opened for the first time... the orcs invaded.

The new city of Grim Batol, built by the Wildhammer dwarves, was captured by the orcs and corrupted by unknown magic. It became a base for the orcish Dragonmaw clan to imprison the Red Dragon Queen and research new chromatic dragons. The remaining Wildhammer dwarves had no choice but to head north, where they formed a bond with gryphons in Ark's Nest, earning the reputation of Thunder Gryphon Riders. Together with the original human alliance, they resisted the orcish invasion led by Gul'dan.

King Terenas Menethil II of Lordaeron proposed the formation of an Alliance resistance army, which was supported by the seven kingdoms, including dwarves and elves. Lothar served as commander-in-chief, leading the young Varian Wrynn in a counterattack against the orc invaders.

In the first war between humans and orcs during the opening of the Dark Portal, the Human Alliance, at great cost, united with dwarves, gnomes, and high elves to achieve victory, directly destroying the old orc tribes and capturing a large number of orcs.

Stormwind was recaptured, Lothar was killed in battle, and the orcs were torn apart...

Kil'jaeden the Deceiver is disappointed with the orcs... The demon lords of the Burning Legion realize they need to destroy the Alliance from within.

In this victory, the Knights of the Silver Hand became renowned throughout the land. The sons of Lothar, the five heroes of the Alliance's Stormwind faction, continued to lead the expeditionary force in their plan to counterattack the other side of the Dark Portal...

They originally planned to launch a counterattack on the orcs' stronghold.

Unfortunately, the Dark Portal was unexpectedly closed.

.....

The dwarves also reclaimed a lot of lost territory... and some of them even reunited.

As early as the War of the Three Hammers, a struggle for power, the Dark Iron dwarves had always been dissatisfied. Their Thaurissan family were the mages of the dwarven kingdom, skilled in abyssal magic, which had always been considered dangerous and taboo.

After the chaos of the Dark Portal, the Dark Iron dwarves naturally found themselves on the opposite side of the Alliance... but their situation was also very difficult, fighting against the invaders on their own territory in Blackrock Mountain.

To defeat their own kind and deal with invading enemies, whether orc invaders or foes from Ironforge... the so-called Horde or Alliance, the Black Dragonflight hidden in the mountaintop.

The Dark Iron dwarves performed a mysterious summoning ritual, hoping to summon demons from the abyss to help them win the war and drive away their enemies.

Unexpectedly, Naglaros, the Balrog King, who had been slumbering in the abyss, was awakened by them. The helpers they had intended to summon immediately treated them like insects, killing the Seven Sages of the Dark Iron who had summoned the Balrog King...

Instead of helping the Dark Iron dwarves win the war, the entire Dark Iron dwarf clan became the servants of the Balrog King, forced to toil at the bottom of Blackrock Mountain, working for the true masters of Blackrock Mountain and its allies.

The Balrog was originally supposed to be imprisoned in the Fire Source in the Elemental Plane.

It was the first elemental lord to escape the abyss, while it remains unknown whether the other three—the water elemental lord Neptulon, the wind elemental lord Al'Akir, and the stone mother Therazane—are still imprisoned in the elemental plane.

That happened ten thousand years ago, before the Titans of the Pantheon departed. The ancient seal has stood for millennia, and people have long forgotten that sealed history. The so-called ancient texts probably only exist in the underground kingdom of the Spider Demons.

These are the very things the dwarven explorers have been searching for. Brann Bronzebeard, in his quest for the so-called treasure, dared to venture into any dangerous place, even getting imprisoned by the Spider Demons – a fitting end for his request...

He wasn't particularly afraid of death, but he was curious about the truth of history and the origin of all things. Dwarves have an innate and deep interest in the underworld, and he begged Lorraine to save him...

Lorraine didn't verbally agree, but was already preparing to take action...

He felt fantastic, fully recovered, brimming with vitality, and his muscles were incredibly toned... The only problem was whether attacking directly would cause the Spider Demon to misunderstand...

"Um, gentlemen. I have a request... I'm not actually alone. Could you spare my companion? He didn't mean any harm..."

Without further ado, Lorraine pointed to the spiderweb pouches beside him, looking pitifully at the spider demon... Taking advantage of the fact that the other could communicate, he directly made his request. The spider demon was interrupted from their private conversation, and both of them were stunned for a moment. Before Lorraine could confirm his agreement, several web pouches beside him opened instantly.

The figure of the dwarf Brian fell down...

It wasn't just the dwarf; the spider demon opened several nets around them at once, and the unfortunate souls who had been caught fell out of them.

Lorraine turned around and saw a familiar face that left him speechless...

He couldn't help but frown. "What a small world! How could it be him!"
