I have one more World of Warcraft Necromancer than you

Chapter 362 The Abyss Council

Chapter 362 The Abyss Council

"No one has fulfilled their obligations?"

Lorraine was both amused and exasperated; he'd never even heard of these insectoid beings... Who could possibly keep their promises to them...?

The dwarf Brian whispered to Lorraine, “Well, young necromancer, the Titans left us long ago. According to my expedition’s research, the earliest ruins are cities from at least tens of thousands of years ago… I believe the Titans abandoned us long ago, or perhaps they themselves have run into trouble. Over the past few decades, we have evidence that the order left by the Titans has long been disrupted. I came here precisely to find the truth… My team discovered the entrance to this place from the Alterac Valley… What about you?”

Is now the time to ask that?

Lorraine was speechless...

He ignored the dwarves' whispers and turned to look at the massive, faintly visible portal in the distance, and at Garin, who had been terrified but was now smug and had reverted to his annoying self...

That guy was clearly seriously injured before, but now he seems to be just as radiant as I am.

He didn't know why he hadn't just let the spider demon tear him apart; he simply couldn't bear to watch life slip away any longer.

Perhaps, having regained his flesh and blood, Lorraine suddenly felt a sense of identity as a human being.

Touching his chubby cheeks, Lorraine suddenly felt an urge to look in the mirror... He wanted to see his once young and handsome face. While verbally reprimanding the dwarf Brian, his mind was elsewhere, completely ignoring the question posed by the Chief Elder of the Abyss Council.

The main problem is that Lorraine didn't know what the Abyss Council was either...

In his memory, it seemed that the Firelord had something similar under his command. The soul of Prince Sunderland, the son of the Windlord, was once imprisoned by the Abyss Council. They had intricate connections with the Church of Twilight.

My teacher once mentioned that the Elemental Lords, the Church of Twilight, and the Old Gods, while seemingly belonging to different systems and powerful forces, are actually intricately connected.

The origins of this story may be far beyond Lorraine's imagination...

Upon being questioned by the Spider Demon Decomposer, Lorraine could only confirm that these Spider Demons had been imprisoned near the underground portal, responsible for guarding the Stone Mother's seal... Because of his battle with the monster previously suspected to be called the Faceless One, the other party hadn't directly...

More importantly, he could communicate in Ancient Elvish, which the other party said was the language of the Creator, the script of the Titans...

This gave him a glimmer of hope, preventing him from being used as a snack.

The dwarf Brann says they entered through a fissure in the Alterac Valley, and that he accidentally ventured deeper into the area near Lake Lordamere. Among the survivors nearby are Kirin Tor mages, murlocs, and Garin, that idiot enemy who appeared out of nowhere...

Lorraine realized that there was probably more than one entrance to the underworld...

The seals on the elemental planes are likely not in one place. The Fire Elemental Lord has broken free; should this news be shared with the Spider Demon Guards protecting the Stone Mother's seal...?

The teacher once said that everything hidden in Blackrock Mountain was the mastermind behind the current conflict between the Alliance and the Horde, and that the Black Dragon siblings must possess something the master and apprentice desired... But now Blackrock Mountain is too far away, and it has been learned that the seal on the Firelands has been broken...

Should we speculate about these ancient guardians and abandon our duties?

Seeing Lorraine deep in thought, the Spider Demon Elder Decomposer continued, "It seems you are not the Titan's messenger? Your blood proves you are not lying; the Old Gods have indeed reappeared on Earth! The instability of the elemental plane seal has truly occurred... I fear my Holy Race will never be able to fulfill our long-cherished wish unless we completely annihilate the god who created us!"

The Decomposer turned to its smaller companion and instructed, "Godslayer, you need to lead the warriors to rebuild the defenses! One Faceless One appears, and more will descend, leading to a fierce battle. We truly need allies. Pass this message to all the Guardians. This is an order from the Abyss Council; our allies must have betrayed us… Send messengers to Aznable, Ankalher, Ainzkacht, Ahn'Qiraj… We must punish the traitors, enforce the covenant, and those who violate it will suffer the backlash and lose the Titans' blessing…"

It turns out that the other spider demon is called "Godslayer," and the Grand Elder is called "Decomposer."

Lorraine suddenly felt he should introduce himself, but with Garlin and Brian present, he swallowed the words back.

These two spider demons are currently beyond my ability to handle...

Their name is just that cool...

Without Lorraine needing to explain anything, the insectoid guards of the Abyss Council seemed to have received the order. As Lorraine watched in surprise, he noticed the Godslayer vibrating its small wings, countless tiny flying insects and tentacle-like tendrils connecting directly to the accompanying light ropes above its head.

Suddenly, Lorraine noticed that the entire underground space began to tremble...

Lorraine and the survivors were terrified, clinging tightly to the netting... A moment later, Lorraine and Brian gasped in amazement as the entire cliff face began to move... Lorraine felt as if he were on the body of a creature, standing on the shoulders of a giant, seeing the massive portal approaching in the distance...

In just a few minutes, Lorraine could even look up and see the sword-wielding sculpture of the huge portal from before. The sculpture's deep, starry body was actually connected to the light, forming tunnels forged from light... The insect guards lined up one after another and entered the starry tunnels.

They didn't enter the giant portal, but rather they went inside the starry sculptures on either side of the portal...

The Zerg guards vanished quickly; Lorraine had no idea where they'd gone, nor could he ask. The Grand Elder of the Abyss Council grabbed a rope of light and pulled, causing a membrane of light to open up on the surrounding walls. Lorraine looked up and realized he and the Zerg elder were standing on a gigantic beetle-like creature...

This creature was the size of a giant, and there was more than one of them, surrounding the passageway around the portal.

They're lined up in a row!

The number of these giant beetles was astronomical. Lorraine noticed that all the stone walls were made up of living insects... He and Brian, mortals of similar size, were like dust in front of these giant insect guardians. Behind the stone gate seal they guarded, he wondered what was hidden.

However, it was clear that, due to the signal emitted by the decomposers, countless similar creatures had been awakened...

Lorraine had no idea what she had done.

He said nothing, but it seemed to have awakened an extraordinary group.

Brian rubbed his hands together excitedly. "This is a sight you'll only see once in a lifetime, kid. I feel like I could die right now just to remember this... I, Brian, would gladly turn into a diamond..."
