Chapter 190 Guil & Frostwolf
Chapter 190 Guil & Frostwolf
Lake Lordamere is located at the entrance to the valley of the Alterac Mountains, a place that was indeed once a rich and fertile land.
Looking out over the top of Alterac Mountains, the snow-capped peaks stand majestically... and the castle towers above.
The location of Dalaran was chosen because its environment was considered an ideal habitat for humans. To the north lies the fertile Tirisfal Glades, and to the south are Gilneas Bay and the Hillsbrad Foothills, where Southshore is located.
To the west lies Lake Lordaeron, right next to the former capital of Lordaeron.
To the east lies the snowy mountain kingdom of Alteran...
The seven human kingdoms: White Lordaeron, Purple Dalaran, Black Gilneas, Orange Alterac...
This includes the Wall of Thoradin, the Bridge of Tador, and the Arathi Highlands surrounded by mountains; the so-called ancestral land of humanity, the Red Stromgarde Kingdom, which once fought alongside the Sons of Lothar against the Scourge but was ultimately defeated and nearly wiped out.
A plague of the undead and the rise of the Lich King directly destroyed the powerful human kingdom of Lordaeron and the high elf empire of Quel'Sara... Gilneas was forced into seclusion, Dalaran was rebuilt, and Stromgarde was reduced to ruins...
The green island of Kul Tiras in the sea is one of the few regions of humanity that has escaped direct annihilation... However, the sailors and fleets of Kul Tiras have never stopped fighting against the alien races, and have been constantly rescuing and supporting other regions belonging to the Seven Kingdoms.
Jaina, the dutiful daughter, murdered her father, the Admiral of Kul Tiras, the legitimate Grand Admiral of the Alliance, and a descendant of Alliance Admiral Daelin and Prodor. Lordaeron's last friends had vanished...
All that's left is his ex-boyfriend, the former prince of Lordaeron, now the Lich King, Arthas, occupying the territory that rightfully belonged to him.
The only difference is that almost all of his people became the dead... A few defiant and fugitive individuals formed the Scarlet Crusade to survive, seeking revenge.
However, within Lordaeron, Silvermoon City, Undercity, and the Argent Dawn (a former branch of the Silver Hand) each occupy portions of territory. Large swathes of land remain occupied by the remnants of the Scourge, led by Kel'Thuzad, Arthas's loyal servant...
These so-called remnants of natural disasters are actually the remains of the elves who died in battle in Lordaeron and Quel'Tiras... It is actually a very sad and lamentable story.
The Forsaken in Undercity have awakened, and most of them have gained self-awareness.
However, the memories she received were almost entirely of her own horrific death and the Lich King's brutal slaughter... as well as the tearing apart of her loved ones after their deaths, and the destruction of everything in what was once humanity's most powerful and prosperous kingdom of Lordaeron in the North...
It's already difficult for the Forsaken to maintain their sanity; their solidarity with the Dark Queen is driven more by instinct and unease...
What harm would it do to die again?
The undead warriors in the [Hand of Vengeance] army, whether alive or resurrected, have endured unimaginable suffering. Fight on, and the Queen's army will advance relentlessly.
Even if they are reduced to dust, for most Forsaken warriors, this is a relief, a true liberation...
In contrast, Lorraine, a free awakener, is somewhat different... He's more like a queen, someone whose awakening was involuntary, not simply a tool. As he gradually gains control of his power, he also develops his own thoughts...
Teacher Rowling stepped back, curious about what this kid would do.
If it were Rolin himself, the teacher might not necessarily have done better than the student... The student gave the so-called teacher too many surprises... He had his own judgment.
For example, what happened next was a series of haphazard actions that unexpectedly changed the situation.
......
Alterac Valley was wiped out during the first and second orcish invasions... It has since become the territory of orcs, ogres, and Syndicate bandits.
The area north of Alterac Valley is now a forbidden zone for the undead, with remnants of the Scourge roaming around Icewind Pass.
Before the tomb of Uther the Lightbringer, skeletal undead roam freely... Only the strong can break through and witness the former glory of the first paladin in history before the tomb's entrance.
There is still a lot of human activity in the Hillsbrad Foothills to the south, but the town of Tarren Mill, which is close to the northern foothills, is currently in the hands of the Forsaken.
Two armies were stationed at the foot of Alterac Mountains. One was an expeditionary force of the Stormpike dwarves from outside the region, and the other was the Frostwolf Clan, the mother clan of Thrall, the current Warchief of the Horde, living in their cavern.
The Frostwolf Clan was exiled here by Gul'dan, the orc warlock of the old Horde. The old shaman Drek'Thar led his people through a difficult struggle for survival... until Thrall, the chieftain's son, returned.
Thrall's name was given to him by human slave owners; in human languages, the name 'Thrall' means slave!
Thrall is one of the few orcs who can understand human language, because he himself was an orc baby found in a creek by a human sergeant.
Thrall's real name was 'Gui'er', and he was originally the son of Durotan, chieftain of the Frostwolf Clan.
Durotan and his wife were being hunted by assassins sent by Gul'dan, the orc warlock leader and the de facto ruler of the Shadow Council. They had no choice but to let Thrall float away in a stream.
Thrall, a young orc, was found by human sergeant Blackmore in a stream in the Alterac Mountains. He raised Thrall and trained him to be a gladiator, performing for him to earn money. Thrall was very strong, intelligent, and agile, becoming almost the strongest gladiator, earning his master a great deal of money and fame.
Blackmore even intended to groom Thrall to become the leader of the orcs, helping him enslave more orcs and dominate the world.
Unfortunately, when Thrall was nineteen, he witnessed most of his fellow orcs, who had been defeated in the Second War, being enslaved, sold, driven, and killed at any time... This caused a huge change in his thinking.
The human girl, Taresa, who had cared for him since childhood, was taken away and abused by his adoptive father. She died tragically while helping him escape, enraging Thrall.
Thrall escaped Durnholde Keep, intending to lead his people to freedom and to find true orcish traditions. This included searching for the legendary orc hero, Grom Hellscream, chieftain of the Warsong Clan!
He bravely rescued his fellow countrymen, and soon gained the attention of his people.
Through the pendant on his body, Thrall learned that he was likely from an ancient orc clan, the Frostwolf Clan! He traveled north to find his mother's clan and indeed encountered his future mentor, the old shaman Drek'Thar.
After identification, Thrall quickly realized that he was the son of Durotan, the Frostwolf chieftain who had once rebelled against the evil rule of the orc warlock Gul'dan.
He not only passed the Frostwolf Trials through his own strength, gaining the approval of his new companion, the Frostwolf 'Snowsong', but also rediscovered the ancient Elemental Shamanic path, forgotten and suppressed by the orcs, from the old shaman!
Shamans are the spiritual faith of orcs, capable of communicating with the power of the earth element.
Thrall can communicate with wind, fire, lightning, earth, and water elementals, and can borrow their power to fight... He himself is a warrior wielding the Doomhammer and an ancient Frostwolf shaman who uses the power of lightning.
One of the leaders of the Earth Ring...
Historically, shamans have been the spiritual leaders of the orcs. The first Lich King, Ner'zhul, was originally the shaman leader of the Shadowmoon Clan. For the sake of his people's future, he was seduced by demons and used the power of the three artifacts to open the Dark Portal, causing the destruction of Draenor...
The orcs were forced to migrate, and the old shaman Ner'zhul was shattered to pieces, but his soul remained, locked in the Domination Armor and subjected to endless torment.
In order to find a new place to live, the entire orc race was bewitched and strengthened by Gul'dan with demon blood and fel energy, becoming servants of the Burning Legion, which led to the orcs' first invasion of the world of Azeroth!
The Frostwolf Clan refused to abandon the ways of their ancestors, nor to succumb to the fel magic, and were ultimately banished, their only wish being to find a place to survive, even if it was a harsh and desolate land...
Unfortunately, every piece of land originally had an owner, and even if it didn't, new so-called explorers would come to visit... The dwarves also wanted to seize this cold place, Alterac Valley, under the guise of archaeology. War was inevitable, with the Frostwolf Horns blaring and the Stormpikes constantly harassing the land.
The Forsaken are the Frostwolf Clan's most reliable allies...
After the Warchief led most of the orcs to Kalimdor, Undercity was determined to seize the surrounding territories, and the Queen needed to eliminate all enemies in the area.
Even for the sake of the chieftain's honor, Alterac Valley is the starting point of the orcs' new home, and it cannot be lost!
Everything Lorraine is doing is changing the history of the Frostwolf Clan.
