Chapter 386 Dragon-Slaying Manual

Chapter 386 Dragon-Slaying Manual

If the blood elves hadn't wanted to take the Dark Iron Golem as evidence, they wouldn't have discovered the hidden compartment in the vault.

The Book of Greed in the hidden compartment looks like a book, but it actually contains a surge of powerful magical energy.

Upon activating the Holy Tome, a shockwave of illusory black flames rushed towards me... Fortunately, it wasn't particularly dangerous...

The first few pages of the Holy Book are filled with ancient Elvish script.

Captain Terra didn't recognize some of the texts, but Lorraine read them aloud: "May our enemies never obtain these documents. May I live to see the bright moonlight of Quel'Thalas again... May I fight in the name of Kael'thas & Sunstrider. May I die for the glory of Illidan & Stormrage."

Signed Termius...The Dreamer.

Who are Termius & the Dream Seeker?

"I don't know, it seems to be someone from His Highness the Blood Prince's faction... Kael'thas & Sunstrider! Our former hope... alas... now he has betrayed the Sin'dorei! Illidan & Stormrage are demon hunters, they are traitors to the Kaldorei...! They really are in cahoots..."

......

The Sin'dorei originally referred to the high elves of Silvermoon City who sought revenge. It was after Silvermoon City was conquered by the Scourge and the Sun King died that Kael'thas sought revenge for his father and declared that all the high elves of the Quel'Thalas Empire would be renamed Blood Elves, which in Elvish is "Sin'dorei," meaning children of blood.

Tooth for tooth, blood for blood!

......

The Kaldorei were the instigators of the Well of Eternity explosion ten thousand years ago... the elven empire ruled by Queen Azshara of the Highborne.

In fact, the Night Elves of the Alliance and the Blood Elves of the Horde share a common ancestor: the Kaldorei. The Kaldorei, in turn, originally lived near the Well of Eternity and, influenced by its power, evolved from the Dark Elves, a tribe of Dark Trolls...

These dark elves are the prototype of the Kaldorei. Kaldorei means children of the stars... They worship the moon goddess Elune, the demigods of the wilderness, revere the power of nature, love peace, and abhor killing.

As the Kaldorei grew, they formed the Dark Elf Empire and created different classes.

There were nobles, priests, and commoners...

Compared to the trolls, they clearly considered themselves a more civilized and powerful race. They defeated many trolls and formed a new empire.

The rulers of the Highborne grew increasingly obsessed with the power of the Well of Eternity, and they began to study the power of its waters.

And they began to study so-called magic, arcane magic which likely originated from the Well of Eternity. The Well of Eternity was originally a source of magic power, but the Kaldorei were unaware that the Well of Eternity was the very essence of the newly born Titan Azeroth...

They only grew stronger and more greedy by harnessing the power of the Well of Eternity.

The Kaldorei, who wielded arcane magic, called themselves High Elves, and their strongest was the then-elf queen Azshara. Like Illidan, Azshara was born with golden eyes and was the most magically gifted among the High Elves, known as "the light of light."

Like Azshara, Illidan was initially a powerful magical genius, with a thirst for power and authority far exceeding that of ordinary people...

Queen Azshara, seduced by Xavius, the satyr king who had long been corrupted by demons, opened a portal to the Burning Legion in the Well of Eternity, allowing the demonic army to invade for the first time.

Cenarius, the god of the forest, along with the wilds and the dragon guardians, fought desperately... Cenarius, with the help of his apprentice, the archdruid Malfurion, the priestess Tyrande of the moon, and others, detonated the Well of Eternity, blocking the demon portal.

This caused immense destruction, shattering the world into several pieces, the largest of which are now the continent of Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms, as well as the Arctic continent of Northrend to the north...

The endless whirlpool in the ocean between them is the crater from which the Well of Eternity exploded.

Azshara and her servants were swept into the ocean by the explosion, where they were corrupted by N'Zoth, the Old God with a thousand whiskers, who lurked in the deep sea. The Kaldorei Highborne were almost completely wiped out, sinking to the bottom of the sea and slumbering for thousands of years, gradually transforming into the Naga race.

Even so, Queen Azshara's followers remained undeterred, refusing to relinquish the power of the Well of Eternity.

Obsessed individuals like Illidan secretly kept several bottles of water from the Well of Eternity... which sowed the seeds of future disaster. The World Tree on Mount Hyjal and the Sunwell on Quel'Danas Island above Silvermoon City were both nourished by this spring water.

After the Well of Eternity exploded, the Kaldorei ceased to exist, and the Highborne, stubborn and unyielding, were banished from Kalimdor... They were the ancestors of Silvermoon City, the Quel'dorei, light elves who walked by day, pursuing power.

This is the honorific name they use for themselves.

In reality, the Quel'dorei were a group exiled and banished by the night elves. They still considered themselves high elves... pursuing the power of arcane magic, and even teaching later human mage apprentices.

......

The night elves who remained near Mount Hyjal in Kalimdor abandoned the power of magic, wholeheartedly embracing the forces of nature, upholding the druidic way, and multiplied under the protection of the forest gods of Moonglade and the demigods of the wilderness, until the Dark Portal opened ten thousand years later...

For the next ten thousand years or so, the Night Elves were actually led by the Council of Darnassus, with the actual rulers being the Priestess of the Moon, Tyrande, and her husband, the Archdruid Malfurion & Stormrage, who frequently preferred to hibernate...

Illidan, Malfurion & Stormrage's younger brother, couldn't understand why his sister-in-law Tyrande didn't like him.

It may have forgotten that Elune's mate is actually Malorne, the white stag goddess...

Their offspring are four-legged, half-stag-man, demigod Cenarius...the teacher of Malfurion...the true god of the forest. The long-standing guardian and faith of the night elves.

Tyrande was originally a priestess of the moon, so she naturally felt close to the forest...

Unfortunately, Illidan is always stubborn and blinded by his golden eyes, trading them for green fel magic, growing wings, hooves, and demon horns. His sister-in-law Tyrande will only hate him more...

He stubbornly insisted on proving that he was stronger than his elder brother; he wanted to take on the entire Burning Legion single-handedly...

We spared no effort and tried every possible method to achieve this.

......

After listening to Terra explain the history of the Elven schism after the War of the Ancients, Lorraine honestly couldn't distinguish between the Kaldorei, Sin'dorei, and Quel'dorei. He roughly understood that in Outland now, it was the Demon Hunter Illidan, the Blood Elf Prince Kael'thas, and Lady Vashj, a handmaiden of Queen Azshara of the Naga, who orchestrated everything.

In a sense, they were the same group of Highborne magicians who were pursuing ultimate power, and by chance, they came together.

They were once again driven by demonic forces...

They became enemies of the mortals of Azeroth.

Although they were originally heroes and leaders of their respective tribes, burdened with the mission of saving their tribes and proving themselves, things didn't go as planned, and they became corrupt and degenerate, earning contempt and scorn.

For the sake of power, things have come to this... Lorraine could only lament that she would never sell her soul and principles for readily available wealth and power...

Terra was merely mocking you; that's because you haven't yet grasped true power and wealth, the temptation isn't great enough, you haven't reached a desperate situation, and you can't feel the pain of others... Lorraine, however, was indignant at these words...

"You can't imagine my pain..."

"Stop rambling. There's something else behind the Covenant of Greed... I think this thing is related to the legendary [Dragon-Slaying Manual]!"
