Chapter 327 System Offline

Chapter 327 System Offline

Zhong Liyu shot the cultivator's leg bone, and Jiang He used vines to wrap and bind him before throwing him into the back box or dragging him.

Before long, the two men dragged several cultivators behind their vehicle.

It was already late when we arrived at the bridge.

Jiang He, expressionless, lured over several zombies. Under the influence of the third rule, Jiang He and Zhong Liyu eliminated a total of eight cultivators.

The audience was now surprisingly tolerant of Jiang He, and they were no longer as surprised as they had been at the beginning, no matter what ideas Jiang He came up with.

From the audience's perspective, most of the interstellar residents who came to watch the game had already lost all their money.

With only one member left on the "Flying Bird" team, it was practically the same as being completely eliminated. After consoling himself, he watched the competition without any ulterior motives and was surprised to find that, apart from Lingqing Academy, the cultivators from other academies had been engaging in a lot of questionable behavior this year, especially Jiang He.

Sometimes, in the blink of an eye, you might miss the rest of the live stream.

For example, when Jiang He drove his car to lure the zombies to infect the cultivators, they really didn't expect it could be done like that.

The third phase has begun, and the instance now houses over a thousand cultivators, with approximately five hundred remaining on the map.

These five hundred cultivators have basically all met the requirements to enter the instance.

There are many dungeons in the three stages, including both hidden and regular dungeons.

Normal dungeons don't award many points.

Hidden dungeons rely on a points system and quest completion rate.

Following the communicator's instructions, the cultivators in the "Zombie Siege" instance gradually headed towards the edge of the city.

"Zhong Liyu, how did you turn into a woman? I told you you looked good in women's clothes." Li Ling chuckled, touching his buzz cut.

Zhong Liyu's face darkened. He knew from these words that the buzz-cut man standing opposite him was Li Ling.

Due to the dungeon's nature, the appearance and physique of cultivators entering the dungeon are altered; cultivators like Zhong Liyu and Li Ling, who have undergone complete gender transformation, are rare.

Jiang He reorganized the team. About three days had passed since they entered the dungeon. Jiang He and Zhong Liyu worked together to eliminate several teams of cultivators.

The two eliminated opponents while simultaneously searching for teammates.

Besides the city's armed forces who were at the forefront fighting the zombies, many citizens also came to the bridge.

Jiang He and Zhong Liyu searched for two days in the ocean, finally managing to find all their teammates who had reached the bridge.

Like Jiang He, Wan Qiziye is also looking for teammates.

Wanjue Academy and Lingqing Academy are the two academies that attract students the fastest.

Other academy students are either still halfway through their journey, scattered across different locations, or have been eliminated directly.

Jiang He and Wan Qiziye each led a team.

Jiang He's side has about three hundred people, and Wan Qiziye's side has about the same number.

The two teams never met.

Wanqi Ziye discovered the hidden rules within the campus, and using these rules, he eliminated many cultivators.

Lan Yingshu arrived at the bridgehead. Not knowing who the cultivator on the other side was, she did not act rashly.

Along the way, she pulled together more than a hundred cultivators from Xiling and accidentally killed several people from her own academy.

Following the system's task prompts, Lan Yingshu finally reached the edge of the city with great difficulty.

One half of the bridge was teeming with zombies, while the other half was filled with armed troops who were firing guns at the zombies trying to cross.

Despite the city's military efforts to control the situation, the number of zombies continued to rise.

With the city's network nearing collapse, officials quickly issued a statement before it completely shut down.

At first, everyone's attitude towards zombies was to control them if possible.

After all, some of the zombies around them were actually neighbors or relatives, so they wouldn't actually kill them.

Living in a peaceful society, they are bound by a sense of morality, feeling both unwilling and afraid to do so.

The official statement said that they saw zombies attacking their hearts and heads.

As a result, many people were able to wake up from their immersion in fear.

Zombies are dangerous, and if they don't die, you are very likely to be in great danger.

Driven by a strong will to survive, some residents picked up kitchen knives to defend themselves and fight back.

Some villagers had slaughtered chickens and ducks before, so they simply treated these zombies as large animals.

However, this is still a very small minority.

Most people, when faced with zombies that look like humans but have ferocious expressions, cannot kill them; at most, they can only defend themselves.

Those who can actually bring themselves to do it are usually soldiers or cultivators who enter the instance.

The dungeon system now encourages killing zombies, and most cultivators are killing them boldly. Each zombie kill earns 100 points, which is considered as killing a low-level monster.

On the bridge, hordes of zombies kept pouring in, one wave after another.

At first, the people inside the instance didn't pay much attention to the arrival of Jiang He and the others.

It wasn't until these armed forces discovered that several groups of people had come onto the bridge, and that almost everyone among them was armed with a gun.

For example, Jiang He's team is the most diligent in picking up trash after battles, stuffing all sorts of guns, spirit swords, and magical artifacts into their pockets, with each person having quite a few weapons.

On the bridge, these armed personnel not only had to focus on attacking the zombies but also keep a close eye on Jiang He's situation.

Especially Jiang He and Wan Qiziye's team.

However, as they observed further, they gradually discovered that these people wielding strange weapons and guns did not attack others; their bullets were always aimed at the zombies.

After a day, more and more ordinary people came to the bridge, but they immediately retreated when they saw the huge number of zombies.

The armed forces remained vigilant about Jiang He and his group's actions, but as time passed and with Jiang He and his group helping them share the burden of fighting the zombies, they gradually accepted the existence of these cultivators.

On the sixth day, the system spoke again:

"Congratulations to all cultivators who have reached the edge of the city and participated in the attack on the zombies. The guidance section is now complete. This system will no longer provide any further guidance. You may explore the mission on your own."

The female voice was icy cold, which inexplicably reminded Jiang He of her system.

The system went offline very quickly this time; it didn't come back online for the next two days after those words were spoken.

This left the viewers in the live stream completely bewildered.

[What the heck? I thought this voice was going to give out quests. I was totally dumbfounded watching the streamer. The early part of the story was going pretty smoothly, with all that zombie background and attack/defense battle stuff, and then suddenly he went offline. It's so weird!]

It's pretty good, but this is just too absurd.

I don't know why, but the removal of this dungeon system gives me the feeling that the storyline has been abruptly ended. I hope it won't affect future dungeons.

After holding it in for days, I finally had a huge poop. I'm speechless. What does that even mean?

Something feels off. This logout was too rushed. Could it be some kind of clue?

There were only two missions in total. One was the final mission, to find the hidden zombies. Completing this mission ended the instance. The other was a siege mission, which I thought was a tutorial system, but it abandoned me halfway through. It was ridiculous.

I don't know why, but I find this dungeon really weird. It's not the scary kind of weird, it's just that the system feels strange.
