Chapter 17 My Girlfriend Is Abnormal 17
Without thinking, Ning Yuanyuan quickly got out of bed and ran outside barefoot, completely unaware that she had changed rooms.
They happened to run into Li Junshen, who was carrying lunch, at the entrance of the spiral staircase.
He seemed a little surprised: "You're awake? Why did you come out without shoes? Be careful not to catch a cold."
Ning Yuanyuan stared intently at him, not missing a single expression. She was desperately trying to confirm something.
Li Junshen naturally placed the plate on the shelf beside him, bent down to hug her, stepped into the room, and gently helped her put on her slippers.
Ning Yuanyuan stared at him the whole time, her eyes stinging and misting over.
It's not him, this isn't him, he wouldn't have that look in his eyes.
Li Junshen knelt on the ground and looked up at her, as if she were a precious treasure he held in his hands.
A string in Ning Yuanyuan's heart snapped, and tears streamed down her face uncontrollably.
She kicked off her slippers: "Go away, I don't want to see you."
Li Junshen was startled by her and got up to leave.
This woman is so hard to please.
Ning Yuanyuan felt utterly hopeless. Images of her and Li Junshen together flashed through her mind. The man with Li Junshen's appearance was not him; he was a monster like Wen Yan.
"System, what should I do?"
"The system indicates that the male protagonist has no problems. Please do not slack off."
"I'm not slacking off, it's just that the male lead has been replaced from the inside out. Do you expect me to start pursuing a complete stranger all over again?"
"The data is accurate; this is the person the male protagonist is meant to conquer, regardless of who the host thinks he is."
After an unsuccessful argument, Ning Yuanyuan wiped away her tears and, despite feeling utterly helpless, got up to find Li Junshen.
I opened the door and was startled by the person smoking by the doorway.
Li Junshen stubbed out his cigarette, reached out and rubbed her cheek. The pungent smell of tobacco filled her nostrils, making Ning Yuanyuan cough: "You, stay away from me."
Li Jun frowned and obediently took a few steps back, giving her enough space.
He was still that elegant and noble man, gazing at her with the same eyes one would use to look at an object.
"Yuanyuan, you can talk to me if you're in a bad mood. Don't resist me. Although I did make mistakes before, that's all in the past, isn't it? Didn't we agree not to bring it up again?"
Li Junshen felt a surge of impatience. Women were such a hassle; they always fussed over the smallest things.
To be honest, she didn't even consult Wen Yan before throwing that bottle of liquid at him, almost splashing it on him, and he didn't say anything. What was she angry about? Could it be that Wen Yan didn't die?
Thinking of this, his tone softened slightly: "We have plenty of opportunities with Wen Yan. I sent someone to find the newest one as soon as this Taoist priest left."
Ning Yuanyuan covered her nose and nodded, her sharp eyes spotting someone coming up the stairs.
Lin Jingyi noticed that one of them was standing inside Qi Gui's room and the other was standing outside, and asked with some confusion, "Why are you standing at the door of Qi Ge and Yan Yan's bedroom?"
Li Junshen explained, "Qi Gui felt that the scenery on our side was better, so he changed rooms."
Lin Jingyi: You two are right next door, aren't you in the same boat?
Although she was a little confused, she didn't dwell on it and politely asked, "I heard there's a party tonight, would you like to go check it out together?"
"Okay, we'll go in a bit."
After exchanging a few polite words, Lin Jingyi left.
Li Junshen watched her retreating figure thoughtfully.
"Jun Shen, shall we go now?" Ning Yuanyuan's words drew his attention back, and he nodded casually.
Ning Yuanyuan gritted her teeth so hard they almost broke. The way Li Junshen looked at Lin Jingyi was clearly the way a man looked at a woman; the amusement in his eyes was unmistakable.
Ha, monsters are just vulgar.
"Host, this is the male lead, your lover. Don't keep calling him a monster," the system couldn't help but remind him.
"Okay, okay." Ning Yuanyuan nodded irritably.
At dusk, the setting sun casts its glow on the shimmering sea, and a bonfire rises from the golden sand. Young men and women sit together, singing ancient songs, creating a scene full of mystery.
Director Wang and his staff arrived late, but we couldn't miss such great material.
"Director Wang, the camera feed is bad, it's a bit blurry."
"What do you know? This is called 'ambiguity.' That's the atmosphere we're shooting. Why do we need the guests' faces to be so clear?" Director Wang glared at him irritably.
He was heartbroken. So many cameras were ruined, leaving only this one broken lone survivor. How much money would that cost? He didn't want to talk; his heart was bleeding as soon as he opened his mouth.
Fortunately, Mr. Li's family is wealthy and invested again. Alas, they lost out on earning money because they can no longer do live streams.
"Go find out where the guest is, I'll go pick up the guest." He then turned and left.
The cameraman smirked and walked into the crowd.
Director, the guest assistant director has already been brought back. If you want to slack off, can't you come up with a more plausible excuse?
The assistant director led Wen Muchi closer to the speechless cameraman: "Xia Yu, why are you the only one here? Where is Director Wang?"
Xia Yu: "Director Wang went to pick up the guest stars."
Wen Muchi looked puzzled: "Director Wang went to pick up the guest stars? Then what am I...?"
The assistant director, as expected of the person who knows Director Wang best, guessed that he had his eye on the hot spring behind the villa and wanted to take advantage of the fact that there were fewer people to soak in it.
"Mu Chi, let's forget about the director and go find the guests first." After saying that, he led the group towards the campfire.
The scorching flames cast a dim, yellowish light on her fair face, and her casual white dress was tinged with a warm yellow, like admiring a beauty under an ancient kerosene lamp, the more you look, the more enchanting it becomes.
No wonder she's Wen Muchi's sister, she's really beautiful.
"Xiaoyan."
Upon suddenly hearing her older brother's voice, Wen Yan thought she was hallucinating until she saw the person walking towards her.
Loose white trousers hugged her long legs, and a black leather belt around her waist accentuated her lean and strong waist. Her flamboyant, loose shirt was half-undone, and black sunglasses were worn on her head, making her look like a flamboyant peacock.
That flamboyant manner really comes from her older brother.
"Brother, what brings you here?" Wen Yan asked with a look of disgust. "You look like a peacock with its tail feathers spread out, all flamboyant."
"How about it, bro? Not bad, right?"
"You're doomed once your parents come out," Wen Yan retorted woodenly.
Judging by the timeline, Wen's parents, these old-fashioned research fanatics, should be coming out soon.
Wen Muchi smiled calmly: "It's okay, I have you with me, right? We've both been on a dating reality show."
Wen Yan: Oh no, I forgot about that. My father usually hates these love and romance variety shows. He finds them disgusting and has forbidden them from coming.
"What, aren't you going to introduce him?" Wen Muchi glanced at Qi Gui, who was standing next to him as a background figure.
This guy is something else. He quietly won over his sister, who had cut off all romantic relationships, and made her fall in love with him. He thought she was going to spend her whole life with her violin.
