Chapter 30 The True Knight

Chapter 30 The True Knight

"Does Yura really like fried pork with carrots and honey sauce?" Qiuhe asked softly.

Yura nodded and casually said, "I really like this dish. When I enjoy food, I can temporarily forget about all the gossip. Besides, this is the only place that's willing to sell me food."

Yes, it was clearly a delicious dish, but Qiuhe couldn't taste the sweetness of the honey sauce or the aroma of the meat. As he ate, he listened to the gossip around him, feeling incredibly distressed.

He wanted to help Yura, but he didn't know what he could do. Unlike Funina, who had a mission to complete and had to endure for 500 years, Yura could live freely, unconcerned with the opinions and views of others.

Should I comfort Yura? Tell her not to be sad, that everything will be alright? But would such comfort really help Yura? Does she even need it?

She didn't need these empty words, because she was stronger than anyone else. It was she who was pretentious, incompetent, yet desperately trying to be perfect.

He was completely powerless to help her, and could only watch helplessly as Yura endured all of this, unable to share even the slightest bit of her pain.

"Look, look, they're even eating together. Their relationship must be something more than just casual. Shameless slut,"

Hearing this, Qiuhe stopped using his knife and fork. Suddenly, he realized that he wasn't completely powerless. He slowly placed the knife and fork on the table.

Yura watched this scene. "Are you full already?" Qiuhe smiled warmly at Yura, then slowly stood up and walked towards the person who had spoken earlier. "Food is delicious because..." Qiuhe said as she walked towards the person.

"It's because the atmosphere can be warm and inviting when you're enjoying yourself." Qiuhe slowly released the power within him.

The person who had just spoken looked at Qiuhe with a strange expression and wanted to get away quickly, but just as she turned to leave, Qiuhe grabbed her hand from behind.

"But the atmosphere now is nauseating!" Qiuhe swept his arm horizontally, and the man couldn't even see Qiuhe's movements. He only felt dizzy and was suddenly suspended in mid-air.

Qiuhe grabbed the man's leg, spun around, and slammed him to the ground with a powerful, knife-like motion. Finally, he grabbed the man's neck. Qiuhe glared at them, his eyes burning with rage, his voice filled with barely suppressed fury:

"Do you think you're so great? A bunch of you whispering and gossiping, saying despicable, disgusting things, talking about absurd, laughable, and nauseating things!"

"Do you really think you're superior to others? A bunch of hypocrites, looking at an innocent child through tinted glasses. Who gave you such confidence? Is it your so-called god of freedom?"

"She did nothing wrong. She's just an ordinary little girl who should be enjoying the joys of life in the prime of her life, but instead she has to endure the gossip and malicious attacks of you wicked people!"

Qiuhe completely lost control of his emotions. He shouted out every word with all his might, and the anger in his heart erupted like a volcano, all of which was vented on the person in front of him.

"You fabricate so many disgusting rumors and utter such offensive words, yet you shamelessly claim to be the victims! Is this what you call freedom?"

"He didn't kill anyone, he didn't set fires, he didn't do a single bad thing. He just wanted to experience happiness in this world, and how did you treat him! She didn't care whether I was good or evil, she saved me from the brink of death on the snow mountain. Such a pure and innocent soul, yet it has to suffer your defilement."

“I’m telling you, I could kill you anytime! But I won’t. I’ll let you live, and let you watch this little girl you’ve harmed climb to a height you’ll never reach.”

Those around were too frightened to speak at the sight, firmly believing that the child's last words were not a joke.

Watching the child's frenzied antics, one wonders what outrageous thing he might do next. Meanwhile, at the window of the Knights of Favonius, the armored Grand Master watched this scene with a smile.

"Commander, should we stop him?"

The Grand Master gently shook his head and sighed, "Such a courageous act of chivalry, if it were stopped, wouldn't that be a grave sin?" The Grand Master had always felt sorry for Yura.

But he couldn't help her. He knew that this child was burdened with a reputation that didn't belong to her because of her family, and he could do nothing but watch silently.

But when he saw Qiuhe's choice, he realized how incompetent he had been. "There's nothing in this world that can't be done, nothing that's impossible. The only difference is whether you can firmly believe in right and wrong."

After a furious outburst of abuse, Qiuhe, seeing the person before him who was completely terrified and disoriented, slowly released his grip. Yura, sitting to the side, quietly watched this scene.

Her face was filled with confusion and emotion. She was confused as to why a boy she had only met for less than two days would do something so outrageous for her, especially on the streets of Mondstadt.

What moved him was that something he could never have dreamed of had happened right before his eyes: a brave and fearless boy stepped forward and stood before him.

Like a brave knight protecting himself and upholding his honor, this was a scene he had never even dreamed of. Qiuhe slowly walked up to Yura, one hand behind his back, the other reaching out to her.

Watching this scene from afar, the Grand Master exclaimed, "This is true chivalry! So elegant, so incredibly elegant. He can transform into a brave knight to protect, and he can also transform into an evil dragon to protect."

"Whether it's good or evil, whatever he did can be considered right," the Grand Master then smiled slightly. "Let's continue with my work. Such a magnificent act of chivalry is enough to witness once."

Looking at the very gentlemanly and elegant boy before her, Yura felt a surge of affection. She gently placed her hand in Qiuhe's hand, and the two left the Deer Hunter Restaurant.

Yura gripped Qiuhe's hand tightly. "What you just did was too crazy. What if the Knights saw it?" Before Yura could finish speaking, Qiuhe interrupted her, "I can't watch you be tainted by those gossips."

As Yura listened to the boy's words, her emotions grew stronger. "When I was little, my parents treated me very badly. My father was a gambler and an alcoholic. Every day after he lost money gambling, he would come home and take it out on me and my mother."

“My mother also hated me. She would scold me whenever she was unhappy. One day, my father lost money gambling and wanted to sell me to pay off his debts. In the end, because he didn't get a good price, he beat me up.”

"He even held me underwater, trying to drown me," Qiuhe recounted his ordeal, tearing open his wounds bit by bit, telling the girl everything about his painful childhood. Yura was utterly shocked after hearing it.

She could hardly believe that such parents existed in the world, and tears welled up in Yura's eyes. "But Yura, you and I are different. Although fate has been so unfair to us, you are incredibly strong."

"You walk on amidst the whispers and gossip of others, yet you still keep moving forward, while I, in my childhood, contemplated suicide, only to be taken in by the House of Hearths, which gave me a new life."

Qiuhe gave a bitter smile at the end, "I'm sorry, I lied to you at first. I didn't come to the snow mountain to look for anything lost. I had my own purpose, but I'm sorry, I can't tell you."

Yura wiped away her tears repeatedly. "Honestly, what's there to apologize for?" she said, her voice strong yet sharp, through sobs. "I don't care, but you lied to me, so I'll hold another grudge against you."

"I will avenge all these wrongs one day," Yura said, wiping away tears.

At the same time, he was leading Qiuhe towards his home.
