Chapter 267 Strong Wine

Chapter 267 Strong Wine

Soon after, Qiuhe sat in a very exquisite chair, gazing at the elegant table before him, where Funina was serving up desserts, cakes, and ice cream one by one.

After serving the last dose of "Sleep Delight," Funina stood proudly by the table, hands on her hips. "Heh heh, how about it? Aren't you impressed by the dessert personally prepared by the greatest and most all-powerful water god?"

Qiuhe listened and slowly raised his hand, clapping softly. "Hmm, as expected of the greatest and most all-powerful water god, amazing, amazing!"

Following Qiuhe's praise, Funina walked to a cabinet on the side of the room, took a bottle of dark red beverage from the storage cabinet, and placed it on the table.

Looking at the dark red liquid in the exquisite bottle, Qiuhe was filled with doubt. "Frinina, what is this?" Frinina took out two stemmed glasses and poured the drink from the bottle into them, pushing them towards Qiuhe.

"Heh heh, guess what this is." Hearing Funina's suggestion to guess, but having just poured the drink into her glass, Qiuhe had already smelled the aroma of alcohol, along with a faint grape fragrance.

"This is... wine?" Funina clapped her hands with a smile. "You guessed it! It's wine. It was a gift from a lady named Retsey on the Water Purification Festival. That lady is quite influential; wine from her must be of very good quality. Akikawa, why don't you try some?"

After listening to Funina's account, Qiuhe looked at the glass of wine, gently picked it up, and was about to put it to his lips to taste it when he was met with a very strong and pungent taste.

Before the wine even reached his lips, Qiuhe couldn't smell it. This was no ordinary wine; its fiery aroma shot straight to the back of his head through his nostrils.

Qiuhe felt a wave of dizziness. He groggily put down his wine glass, then immediately covered his forehead with his hand, his eyelids clenching tightly like iron gates.

After shaking his still slightly dizzy head, Qiuhe looked up at Funina with a surprised expression. "Hey Funina, what's the alcohol content of this wine?"

Fryna looked puzzled. "Huh? Alcohol content?" "Uh, never mind." It seemed the term "alcohol content" wasn't commonly used in Teyvat.

"Furina, do you usually drink this kind of wine?" Furina asked, still a little puzzled. "Yes, I do drink wine sometimes."

Fu Ningna seemed to realize something halfway through her sentence, then covered her mouth and couldn't help but burst out laughing, "Haha, Qiuhe, you can't even drink fruit wine, can you?"

"Uh, not exactly, it's just that this wine..." Qiuhe was speechless, completely at a loss for words. He hadn't expected it at all. He thought that Funina in the game usually just ate desserts and drank things like Fontaine, but he really didn't expect that Funina would drink alcohol.

This is such a strong liquor! It's hardly fruit wine anymore. If I drink this glass, it'll probably last all night.

Seeing Qiuhe's troubled expression, Funinga helplessly shrugged. "Sigh, alright, alright, you're still just a child. I really can't do anything with you. Watch carefully, from now on, the greatest and most all-powerful water god will personally teach you how to drink this wine."

As she spoke, Funina's face beamed with pride and smugness. She elegantly raised her glass, gently swirled it, then took a small sip. The crimson wine slowly flowed over her taste buds, through her mouth, and down to her stomach.

It was like a drop of water falling onto a red-hot iron plate; Funina's delicate body trembled suddenly, and she choked on the strong liquor with a muffled "plop."

"Uh... Funina... are you... alright?" Qiuhe asked hesitantly. Funina placed her wine glass on the table, then rested her elbow on the table and covered her face with her other hand.

After a few seconds of catching her breath, Funina forced a confident and proud smile. "Ah, hahaha, of course I'm fine! Oh, what a fine wine! Beautiful appearance, and such a pure, sweet, and fragrant taste! Hahahaha!"

Seeing Funina's forced smile, Qiuhe didn't know what to say. "Funina, if you can't drink it, you don't have to force yourself. There's no one else here."

Upon hearing this, Funina stubbornly retorted, "W-what do you mean I can't drink it? Honestly, please, I am the goddess of water and justice. For me, drinking water is just a way to absorb elemental energy. Alcohol is still water, after all. I can drink it! Don't overthink it!"

Seeing that Funina absolutely refused to admit it, Qiuhe was too embarrassed to expose her. Although Funina had indeed drunk wine before, she hadn't expected that this wine was completely different from what she usually drank.

If the wines I've drunk before were 70% grape juice, then this one I'm drinking now is probably 70% wine. Funina inwardly grumbled a little.

But she didn't want Qiuhe to find out she couldn't drink. After all, she was a god who had lived for over 500 years; if she couldn't even drink, it would be incredibly embarrassing, even if he was her confidant.

"Ahem, alright, alright, let's skip this topic for now. Such a delicious wine should be savored slowly; we can't rush it."

After finishing her sentence, Funina forced herself to take another sip. "Ah~, cough. Qiuhe, you've been gone for so long again this time, didn't you bring anything back for this Water God?"

Hearing Funina's question that changed the subject, Qiuhe simply smiled gently. "Yes, I have indeed prepared something good, but it's a surprise. Funina, please close your eyes first."

Upon hearing this, Funina closed her eyes expectantly. Seeing this, Qiuhe waved his hand in front of Funina's eyes. When Funina didn't react, Qiuhe pointed to the table and drew a circle.

His finger, like an ink brush, traced a path across the table, leaving a long, dark purple circle. And the moment the circle formed...

The center of the circle gradually transformed into a dark, deep void, within which sat a small wooden box. The box then floated upwards, and inside it was a single, crystal-clear lily.

"Alright, Funina can open her eyes now." Hearing Qiuhe say that she could open her eyes, Funina slowly opened them. What came into view was a small wooden box held by Qiuhe, and inside the box was a blue flower bud.

"This is a specialty flower of Liyue, called the Glass Lily. During the day, it's usually in bud form, but at night, it blooms into a very beautiful and dazzling flower. I hope Frynn will like this flower."

Funina's eyes sparkled as she looked at the beautiful bud. She felt as happy as a child and gladly accepted the lily.

"Wow~, um, not bad, not bad, it's very beautiful, I really like this gift." Funina laughed as she carried the box of flowers to the window, took the soil and flowers out of the box, and planted them in an unused flowerpot.

Even though it was still in bud, bathed in sunlight, and with a few stamens peeking out, Funina could tell that it would be incredibly beautiful when it bloomed. After arranging the potted plant...

Funina sat back down at the table. "Alright, Qiuhe, tell me again about anything fun or interesting that happened to you these past few days."

Fu Ningna's curiosity was piqued, and Qiuhe, as if telling a story to a little girl, recounted their camping and adventures in Chenyu Valley, their treasure hunts and thieving group encounters.

From the chance encounter with the immortals at Mt. Aozang, to the gods of Liyue, and the thrilling adventures on the snowy mountains, Qiuhe recounts these winding adventures.

He was also sharing the beautiful scenery and photos he had taken along the way with Funina, who was completely absorbed and didn't even notice that she had already finished her glass of wine.

As she drank the last sip of wine from the bottom of her glass, Furnessa's cheeks were already flushed, and she wore a silly, dazed grin. "Hahahaha, old fogey, hahaha, then that Rock God, hiccup, isn't he just like Vilette? Hahahahaha!"

Funina kept laughing heartily, but in Qiuhe's eyes, Funina's current state was completely that of someone who was drunk.

Seeing that the desserts and cakes on the table were almost finished, Qiuhe reminded him, "This is all the adventures and experiences we've had outside."

Also, I want to thank Funina. Funina's cooking is superb. But you seem to have had your fill of drinks, so why don't you take a break, Funina?"

Hearing Qiuhe's words, Funina laughed for a while before swaying slightly as she stood up, leaning on the table. "Huh? Rest? What rest? I'm not tired, and I'm not drunk, why should I rest?"
