Chapter 77 Lightning Fall
Chapter 77 Lightning Fall
Having survived this ordeal, Shu Hongyi witnessed the lightning tribulation firsthand and personally experienced its power. She gained much from the visualization techniques, and with the nourishment of the sword orchid sap, her internal injuries were fully healed, her energy channels were unblocked, her sword intent filled her body, and her essence, energy, and spirit all reached a state of perfect harmony, on the verge of bursting forth.
The sword danced freely, its intent gradually aligning with the Dao. The red and white shadows sketched cloud patterns in the air, with faint thunderous intent and sudden flashes of lightning.
Niannu and Wu Lingsu had a dazed feeling that the tribulation of lightning was coming again, and their legs trembled slightly.
Luo Sifan gently stroked Wu Lingsu's trembling little hand, glanced at her, and offered a comforting word:
"It's just a lightning phenomenon triggered by sword intent; it won't strike people randomly, so there's nothing to be afraid of!"
Luo Sifan was also quite moved by Shu Hongyi's insightful understanding; the myriad methods of swordsmanship each have their own unique charm!
With lightning-fast inspiration and a clear mind, Shu Hongyi's engrossed sword dance suddenly froze. A powerful sword intent, which had been obscure, suddenly became clear, instantly gathering all the red and white cloud patterns. All the accumulated power and clear thoughts were poured into the sword that slayed the dragon.
With her eyes wide open and lips parted, Shu Hongyi lightly flicked her sword, appearing ethereal and otherworldly.
"Lightning strike!"
A surging sword aura, as powerful as a white dragon and as thunderous as a waterfall, struck straight down, with white light flashing within it, possessing the divine thunder power that ninety percent of the people had personally experienced.
Luo Sifan and the others were dumbfounded, forgetting even the thought of running away.
The sword energy entered the forest with a deafening roar, sending rocks flying and dust billowing into the sky.
The fierce wind was snapping old trees and was about to sweep towards where Luo Sifan and the others were.
The younger brother suddenly poked his head out of Luo Sifan's arms, ready to unleash his power.
A flurry of sword flashes appeared before their eyes, and a red figure darted forward. It was Shu Hongyi, smiling, who flashed in front of them, raising her hand to unleash several sword energies, shielding them from the gale and the boulders.
The two girls went from fear to joy, from surprise to respect, all in the blink of an eye.
Clapping and cheering, the two women saw Shu Hongyi as a celestial maiden descended to earth, radiant and beautiful.
Even Wu Lingsu shook off Luo Sifan's hand, becoming just like Niannu, and turned into Shu Hongyi's little fangirl.
Luo Sifan reluctantly withdrew his hand, but his face remained calm.
As the wind subsided and the sound ceased, Shu Hongyi's imposing manner vanished, and her expression and demeanor became more refined. Her boisterous and unruly air had been somewhat diminished.
After comforting her female fans with a few words, Shu Hongyi, carrying the Dragon Slayer sword, walked towards Luo Sifan with her red robes swaying gently.
His expression was a mix of a smile and resentment, seemingly insightful yet slightly bewildered, which inexplicably sent a shiver down Luo Sifan's spine.
I almost couldn't resist and my eyes darted away.
"Lin Xiaozhi!"
Shu Hongyi approached Luo Sifan and stopped about a foot away, her lips uttering sweet words.
"Ah!? What advice do you have for me, senior?"
Luo Sifan hugged his little brother tightly and grinned as he replied, while Shu Hongyi's bright eyes were practically glued to his face.
"Is this sword yours?"
Shu Hongyi lightly twitched the dragon-slaying weapon.
The horned dragon in the sword was now lying down, feigning death. It was unclear whether it was out of shame for betraying Luo Sifan or out of fear of Shu Hongyi's tyranny.
Luo Sifan nodded silently.
"Such a divine sword, I shall keep it safe!"
Shu Hongyi glanced at Zhan Jiao with a hint of reluctance, raised her hand to brandish the sword, and was about to put it back into the sheath at Luo Sifan's waist.
"Wait a minute!"
Luo Sifan took action, unsheathed the sword, and handed it to Shu Hongyi amidst her surprised gaze.
"This sword is not meant for me; it is a gift for a beautiful lady. Senior, please accept it!"
Luo Sifan's tone was quite resolute.
"Beautiful lady, beautiful lady..."
Shu Hongyi kept muttering to herself, her chest heaving slightly involuntarily.
Before the blush settling on her face, she swiftly snatched the sword sheath.
"You're such a smooth talker, kid!"
Luo Sifan was stunned when she heard this, thinking that she was going to politely decline a few more times.
Shu Hongyi had already sheathed her sword and turned around, uttering a sentence as she tied it:
"I'll take this sword, thank you, young man!"
Her figure and tone were both bold and unrestrained, but her ears were slightly red and her jade face was burning. With her back to Luo Sifan, she presented a wonderful sight that only Luo Sifan could see.
"Um... you're too kind, senior."
Facing Shu Hongyi's retreating figure, Luo Sifan replied helplessly. After all, Shu Hongyi's behavior and words were already quite unpredictable.
Sword cultivators are unrestrained and unconventional, truly unique and unpredictable.
Once Shu Hongyi calmed herself down, she hurriedly pushed forward with the important matter.
"You two young ladies, the road ahead is dangerous, so please wait here for now!"
Shu Hongyi gave the order without question.
"Lin Xiaozhi! Come with me. I'll take care of everything. Don't make any rash moves!"
Luo Sifan obediently put his arm around his younger brother and followed.
"Lin Xiaozhi?! You're bound to get into fights on this trip, are you sure you still want to bring a dog along?"
Shu Hongyi found it hard to understand and was angry at the person for not standing up for themselves.
Luo Sifan quickly restrained his underling who was about to explode:
"Senior, you may not know this, but this dog is not only as affectionate as a junior relative, but also an auspicious creature that the elders of the family have instructed us to keep by our side at all times."
Shu Hongyi could only shake her head and ignore the utter nonsense.
If she knew that Luo Sifan was holding a Nascent Soul cultivator in his arms, she would probably be happy to carry him on her head.
Niannu and Wulingsu, under Shu Hongyi's instruction, dared not utter a word and watched the two figures gradually disappear into the entrance of the Netherworld Valley.
"What is your name, ma'am? And how do you know my sister Xiaozhi?"
Wu Lingsu smiled and struck up a conversation with Niannu, who was naturally aloof.
"Xiaozhi? Sister?"
Niannu was a little confused.
An unusual surge of energy emanated from beneath my feet.
Luo Sifan took a few steps to catch up, and followed closely behind where Shu Hongyi disappeared, entering the mysterious realm of the Netherworld Valley.
Lost in thought, she almost bumped into Shu Hongyi, who was standing still.
"Shh!"
Shu Hongyi used her white fingers together to shut Luo Sifan's mouth, which was about to apologize.
The two locked eyes, and Shu Hongyi was slightly taken aback. Luo Sifan before her seemed to possess an unusually alluring charm.
The words that Shu Hongyi had intended to say to Luo Sifan were immediately forgotten, her eyes filled only with Luo Sifan's tender and flattering demeanor.
"Xiaozhi!..."
Luo Sifan watched in surprise as Shu Hongyi's dignified face instantly transformed into one overflowing with spring-like blush, and she uttered a tender and wistful cry.
The fingers pressing against Luo Sifan's lips moved in an extremely ambiguous manner, as if they were embracing Luo Sifan's lips and tongue.
"Senior! Senior!"
Luo Sifan struggled to make a sound under Shu Hongyi's finger pressure, realizing that Shu Hongyi must have fallen for a trap.
Luo Sifan felt he didn't have that much charm, and Shu Hongyi's self-control shouldn't be that weak.
With each breath he exhaled, Shu Hongyi reacted even more strongly, as if Luo Sifan had done something to break her defenses.
"You naughty boy! No!"
Shu Hongyi's face flushed red, her eyes narrowed, and she said "I hate you" but her face trembled as she leaned closer, her red lips parting slightly and her pearly teeth slightly agape.
"No!"
Luo Sifan was truly screaming and resisting in his heart, but Shu Hongyi's sword energy moved with his emotions, binding him tightly.
It seems like only the mouth can move?
Luo Sifan hesitated whether to bite Shu Hongyi awake, but was afraid that if he bit her, the reaction would be even stronger.
The younger brother, sandwiched between the two, was pushed and rubbed by the surging force, making his eyes roll back in his head.
Finally unable to hold back any longer, it lunged forward and slapped Shu Hongyi hard on the forehead.
In the blink of an eye, Luo Sifan saw Shu Hongyi being slapped back three steps by his underling's claw, all her fantasies and distractions vanishing into thin air.
Shu Hongyi exclaimed in surprise, snapping out of her daze. She quickly wiped her fingers clean with her sleeve, as if they had done something unforgivable.
The younger brother glanced sideways, while Luo Sifan stared wide-eyed, utterly bewildered as he watched Shu Hongyi's flustered and embarrassed state.
