Chapter 354 The Mystery of the Dream Tower

Chapter 354 The Mystery of the Dream Tower

The Mystery of the Dream Tower

Feng Jing stood at the base of the Dream Tower, gazing up at the layers of walls. The images on each layer shifted rapidly, revealing countless fragments of his past experiences and the results of his choices. In each layer of the dream, there seemed to be a different Feng Jing, living a completely different life, taking a different path, making different decisions. Yet, these different versions of him all seemed to be moving towards the same goal: to transcend time and space, to transcend all limitations.

However, Feng Jing knew that all this was not simple. The existence of this dream tower seemed like a vast mystery, and he stood before the answer, feeling the oppression brought by the layers of fog. Each layer of the tower wall revealed his past choices and decisions, while also seeming to hint at truths he had never yet perceived.

He walked towards the first tower wall and gently touched it. In an instant, his consciousness was sucked into it. The scene before him changed drastically, and Feng Jing found himself in a completely unfamiliar world.

In this world, he still seemed to be the same Feng Jing, but this time, his identity, position, and even the people and things around him seemed to have undergone earth-shaking changes. In this dream, he was no longer the one who pursued infinite power, but an ordinary folk cultivator in an ancient world ravaged by war.

Feng Jing found himself standing in a simple village, surrounded by dilapidated houses and a desolate landscape. The villagers were haggard and gloomy. The sky in the distance was filled with smoke, and the sound of war horns could be heard from time to time. The air was filled with the smell of death and fear.

He seemed to have no extraordinary abilities here, and even his basic spiritual energy seemed extremely weak. Compared to his previous appearance, this Feng Jing seemed to have been trapped in an extremely low-level world, unable to exert any powerful power.

"This is... a road I've never walked before." Feng Jing was a little shocked. He felt almost powerless to change anything in this dream. He couldn't even control his life or death, and even escape was out of the question.

He walked to a small house in the village. Inside, an old woman sat alone. Feng Jing approached her and tried to talk to her, but she didn't seem to recognize him, not even surprised. She simply looked at him calmly, a deep sadness hidden in her eyes.

"Who...are you?" Feng Jing asked.

The old woman slowly raised her head, her eyes devoid of emotion, as if Feng Jing were merely a passing stranger. "Don't you know?" she whispered, "You've never escaped this fate. All your choices have long been predetermined by fate." Her voice was cold, as if it came from the abyss of another time and space.

Feng Jing's heart trembled. Her words were like a sharp knife, piercing his heart. No escape? Every choice he made was predetermined? Was this the truth he had never realized?

Just then, a commotion erupted outside the village. Feng Jing quickly left his hut and saw a group of armed soldiers approaching the village. The villagers panicked and hid in their houses, but Feng Jing felt powerless—he couldn't exert any power here, and he didn't even have a chance to escape.

"I must do something," Feng Jing decided silently. He knew that since he couldn't rely on his own strength, he could only rely on wisdom and courage. No matter what, he couldn't let the world before him be consumed by the relentless war.

He quickly walked to the center of the village, opened a hidden stone door, and entered a secret basement. The basement was dim and damp, and the air was filled with the smell of decay, but Feng Jing remained unmoved. He knew that this basement concealed the village's last hope—an ancient teleportation array.

Feng Jing stood quietly beside the teleportation array, reciting the array runes he had learned, trying to awaken the long-dormant array. Although his spiritual energy was already weak, he was still able to barely activate the array with his years of experience.

Suddenly, the teleportation array emitted a low rumble, and the light in its center flickered. Feng Jing, overjoyed, quickly entered the formation. However, at this moment, the teleportation array suddenly vibrated violently, the surrounding light rapidly distorted, and Feng Jing's body was swallowed into an unknown space.

He lost consciousness, and the whole world seemed to disappear in an instant. When Feng Jing opened his eyes again, he found himself standing in an unfamiliar place. This place was completely different from the war-torn world before. This was a bright city, the streets bustling with people, people dressed in gorgeous clothes, and the air was filled with laughter.

But Feng Jing knew clearly that this was still a dream. Although everything here seemed prosperous and beautiful, he knew that the truth hidden behind the dream was far more complicated than it seemed.

As he walked among the crowd, the old woman's words echoed in his mind: "All your choices are already predetermined." Feng Jing's heart trembled, realizing that he might have entered a deeper mystery. Everything here was beyond his control. It seemed that no matter what choice he made, he could not escape the arrangement of fate.

He looked up again, his eyes penetrating the crowd, and suddenly saw a familiar figure - it was himself, another him, walking towards a magnificent palace in the distance.

"Is this my fate?" Feng Jing thought to himself, "Am I already trapped in this endless dream, unable to escape forever?"

He walked towards the figure, his heart full of questions and confusion.
