Chapter 660 Room
Chapter 660 Room
After saying that, Minato hurriedly put away the scroll and disappeared from the room in a flash.
Zhang Hai watched Minato's hurried departure and shook his head helplessly. He knew that Minato would definitely show Kushina the "Rasengan" like a child.
Minato rushed out of the mansion, scratching his head and grinning foolishly in the night. He knew Zhang Hai was right; the name "Whirlpool Gale Spiral Light Arrow Zero Style" was indeed too long, and Kushina would definitely complain. The name "Rasengan," on the other hand, was concise, powerful, and more in line with Kushina's personality.
He was filled with gratitude towards Zhang Hai. Zhang Hai had not only helped him perfect his ninjutsu but had also given him a more fitting name. He couldn't wait to tell Kushina this good news.
……
Zhang Hai watched Minato's departing figure and shook his head helplessly. He knew that Minato genuinely considered him a friend, and he had indeed felt Minato's sincere care.
He returned to his room, the tired and helpless expression on his face vanishing instantly, replaced by that familiar smile tinged with a hint of slyness. He walked to the door of the laboratory where Tsunade was, a fawning smile on his face, and approached Tsunade.
Tsunade was engrossed in an experiment. Without turning her head, she simply snorted coldly, "Don't pretend in front of me! You brat, every time you give me that smile, you definitely want something from me!"
Upon hearing this, Zhang Hai's smile widened even further. He knew that although Tsunade was sharp-tongued, she actually cared about him quite a bit.
"Sister Tsunade is truly a genius!" Zhang Hai quickly flattered her. "Nothing can be hidden from you! I do have something I'd like to ask for your help with."
Tsunade stopped her experiment, turned around, and stared at Zhang Hai with her sharp brown eyes, her tone wary: "Speak, what is it?"
Zhang Hai walked up to Tsunade, lowered his voice, and said with a hint of pleading, "Sister Tsunade, I would like to ask you... not to close the barrier around this mansion."
Upon hearing this, Tsunade frowned sharply: "Not turning off the barrier?! What are you up to now, you brat?!"
"I didn't mean to do anything funny!" Zhang Hai quickly explained. "I just... I wanted to use the Spirit Transformation technique to see someone."
"Spiritualization Technique?" Tsunade's eyes flashed with surprise upon hearing this term. "Who are you going to see?"
“Xiao Nan,” Zhang Hai said softly, his tone carrying a complex emotion, “she was my former student.”
Upon hearing this, a knowing glint flashed in Tsunade's eyes. She remembered the name Konan; she was a student Zhang Hai had taken in when he was still in Amegakure. She also knew that Zhang Hai had always valued this student highly.
"You want to see her now?" Tsunade looked at Zhang Hai, a hint of inquiry in her eyes. "Do you want to bring her into your plan?"
Zhang Hai shook his head, a bitter smile on his face.
“I won’t force her.” Zhang Hai’s voice was soft, but unusually firm. “I will give her a choice. I will tell her everything I’ve done and my future goals. As for her final choice, I will respect it.”
He paused, a painful memory flashing in his eyes: "I don't want to see anyone I cherish hurt by this world again. I don't want to see anyone fall into despair because of my decision."
Looking at Zhang Hai's pained yet resolute expression, Tsunade felt a complex mix of emotions. She knew that when Zhang Hai said he was "hurt by this world," he was referring to the death of Hatake Sakumo.
She sighed, a hint of helplessness in her voice: "You little rascal... you really have a lot on your mind."
She knew that Zhang Hai's desire to see Xiao Nan wasn't just about catching up. He definitely had his own plans. But seeing the pained yet determined look in Zhang Hai's eyes, she ultimately didn't refuse.
"Alright." Tsunade finally relented, her tone tinged with compromise. "I can leave the barrier open for now. But remember, if anything unusual happens, I'll bring you back immediately!"
"Thank you, Tsunade-neechan!" Zhang Hai's face lit up with a bright smile. He knew that Tsunade had agreed to his request.
……
Meanwhile, in Konoha Village, in the Hokage's office.
Hiruzen Sarutobi sat at his desk, wisps of smoke rising from his pipe, his face terribly grim. Across from him, Danzo Shimura angrily questioned him.
"Sarutobi! What's wrong with you?! That Uchiha Akemi actually managed to defeat Fugaku! He even has a stronger Mangekyou Sharingan than Fugaku! And you still dared to release him?!" Danzo's voice was filled with anger and incomprehension.
He had just learned of Zhang Hai's strength and his bizarre time-manipulation eye technique from Fugaku. This filled him with unprecedented fear. He knew that an Uchiha clansman with such power, if out of control, would inflict devastating damage on Konoha Village.
"Danzo, calm down!" The Third Hokage's voice was tinged with weariness. "Zhang Hai is currently under Tsunade's supervision. He poses no threat to the village."
"Keep him under guard?!" Danzo sneered, his sinister eyes fixed on the Third Hokage. "An Uchiha clansman with the Mangekyou Sharingan, capable of even defeating Fugaku, and you actually dare to think you can 'keep him under guard' with just Tsunade?! Sarutobi, are you senile?!"
He slammed his fist on the table and roared angrily, "What you're doing is tantamount to raising a tiger to cause future trouble! Do you want Konoha to repeat the mistakes of Madara Uchiha?!"
The Third Hokage's expression grew even more somber. He knew Danzo's concerns were not unfounded, but he also had his own considerations.
"Danzo, Zhang Hai is not Madara Uchiha." The Third Hokage's voice carried a hint of helplessness. "He is just a child whose eyes are blinded by hatred and despair. I believe that as long as he is given a chance, he still has a chance to redeem himself."
"An opportunity?!" Danzo sneered, his sinister eyes filled with disdain. "Sarutobi, you're always so indecisive! It's your mercy that has plunged Konoha into crisis time and time again!"
He stood up abruptly, his voice filled with threat: "Let me tell you, Sarutobi! If Zhang Hai truly becomes a threat to the village, I will not stand idly by! I will resolve this trouble in my own way!"
After saying this, Danzo left the Hokage's office without looking back, leaving the Third Hokage alone at his desk, his face etched with exhaustion and helplessness. He knew that Danzo's words were not unfounded. Zhang Hai's identity and the power he had displayed had become a huge hidden danger within the village.
