Chapter 935 Irritability

Chapter 935 Irritability

"Enough!" Kazekage said in a deep voice, stopping Raikage's outburst. "This is not your personal battlefield, A." His voice was low and firm. "Our enemies are not each other. We face a greater catastrophe, and division and infighting will only exacerbate our disadvantages."

Onoki spoke up at the right moment, his voice calm: "The Kazekage is right, now is not the time to vent our anger." He turned to the Raikage, "Ah, calm down. We all have a responsibility. We should focus our energy on how to solve the current predicament, instead of venting our anger on irrelevant people."

The Raikage glared at Onoki, remained silent for a moment, and finally raised his hand, signaling that he would no longer argue. However, the anger in his heart had not subsided, and his gaze remained burning as he stared at Hiruzen Sarutobi, as if waiting for a moment to explode.

“Alright.” Hiruzen Sarutobi spoke, his voice calm and collected. “Since you’re all so eager to solve the problem, let’s get back to the main topic.” He paused, his gaze sweeping over the five Kage. “Our goal is to work together to deal with the current barrier threat and stop the spread of poison gas and mutated creatures.”

Kazekage sighed, his gaze grave. "Sarutobi, the pressure on the barrier is increasing, and the poisonous gas has spread to parts of the surrounding area. If we don't address this in time, the consequences will be unimaginable."

“I know.” Hiruzen Sarutobi nodded slowly. “We need to strengthen the barrier defenses and send elite Jonin to eliminate the poisonous insects. All efforts must be focused on stopping the spread of the poison, otherwise the barrier’s defenses could collapse at any time.”

“You’re right, Sarutobi.” Raikage A finally calmed down, his tone becoming much more composed. “In that case, let’s stop arguing for now. The threat of the poison is beyond the control of any ninjutsu, and we must deal with it as soon as possible.”

Yagura, the new Mizukage of Kirigakure, finally spoke: "I agree to the proposal to strengthen the barrier defenses. Kirigakure has always been skilled in barrier techniques, and we can assist Konoha in reinforcing the barrier. At the same time, we also need to send our ninjas to the front lines to eliminate those mutated creatures and poisonous insects."

“The support from Kirigakure will undoubtedly strengthen our defenses.” A hint of approval flashed in Hiruzen Sarutobi’s eyes. “But we must act quickly. If the poison continues to spread, the consequences will be unimaginable.”

With the Five Kage reaching a consensus, the atmosphere at the meeting finally relaxed slightly. The ninjas from each country began to focus on the current crisis rather than their past grievances. However, although no new conflicts broke out for the time being, tensions between the Five Kage still lingered in the air, ready to erupt at any moment.

On the other side of the meeting, Zhang Hai sat quietly in his seat, his eyes cold, listening to the conversation between the five Kage. His gaze remained fixed on Tobirama Senju, and questions gradually arose in his mind.

“Tobirama,” Zhang Hai suddenly spoke, breaking the silence. His words carried a hint of calm provocation, “You have witnessed the power of the Mangekyou Sharingan, but do you know its limits?”

Tobirama Senju paused slightly, then looked at Zhang Hai. "You mean the side effects of the Sharingan?"

Zhang Hai nodded. "My eyesight is severely impaired; it starts to blur at just over ten meters." He said softly, "I've tried using spiritual techniques to compensate, but I haven't been able to solve this problem."

A complex look flashed in Tobirama Senju's eyes. "The side effects of the Sharingan, especially the backlash of the Mangekyou Sharingan, are an unavoidable reality. Madara Uchiha solved this problem by transplanting the eyes of close relatives, but you don't have that option." He paused, his gaze calm. "This is not only a physiological issue, but also a limitation inherent in the nature of eye techniques."

Zhang Hai's gaze darkened, but he didn't show much emotion at the answer. He simply said, "That means I won't be able to escape this restriction."

Tobirama Senju did not respond further, but simply sighed. He looked at Zhang Hai, seemingly understanding his inner loneliness and coldness, but feeling more powerless.

At this moment, Sasori spoke softly, "If we can capture the eyes of the Uchiha clan, perhaps we can solve the problem." His words were cold and direct, "We can try."

A look of shock flashed in Tobirama Senju's eyes. "You mean..." He paused, not daring to continue, his voice filled with vigilance.

Zhang Hai looked at Scorpion with a hint of mockery, "Your thinking has always been so extreme."

Scorpion made no attempt to evade the question, coldly stating, "If there are no other options, then we will have to resort to extreme measures."

With the battle over, the leaders of the five great ninja villages convened an emergency meeting in an attempt to end the protracted conflict through dialogue. However, even at the peaceful negotiating table, tensions between the five Kage remained palpable, especially the hostility and conflict between Konoha and Kumogakure, which hung like a sword of Damocles, ready to fall at any moment.

The start of the meeting did not bring the expected peaceful atmosphere. Hiruzen Sarutobi sat in the Konoha representative's seat, his face grave, his eyes revealing weariness and caution. For him, this meeting was not merely about ending the Third Shinobi World War, but about making a crucial decision for the future of the ninja world.

"We must end this war." Kazekage Onoki's words broke the silence. He stood before the conference table, his tone steady, yet unable to conceal the pain in his heart. "The ninja world has already paid too high a price. Continuing to fight will only bring more pointless sacrifices."

"While the Kazekage's words have merit, how can we trust him?" Raikage A glared, his voice filled with anger and dissatisfaction. "Konoha's actions during the war have eroded our trust in you! You criticize Kumogakure, but who can guarantee that Konoha won't be secretly plotting another war?"

Hiruzen Sarutobi's gaze remained calm as he slowly rose to his feet. "Konoha has lost the capacity to continue the war. We choose to withdraw and are willing to pay the price for this war." His words, though calm, carried an unwavering resolve. "We will not provoke another war."

Kazekage nodded slightly, then turned to Yagura, "What is Kirigakure's attitude?"

Yagura stood up, her face still calm, but her tone carried an undisguised weariness. "We can no longer fight. Kirigakure's strength has been exhausted. Continuing a pointless struggle will only make us more vulnerable."

Following Yagura's statement, Onoki also announced that Iwagakure would no longer participate in the battle. While these statements gradually calmed the situation, Raikage A still stood aside resentfully, glaring angrily at Hiruzen Sarutobi.
