Chapter 794 Someone else
Chapter 794 Someone else
Yun's mind went blank, completely losing the ability to think. He blankly felt his body, watching it expand at an alarming rate, unable to stop it. It felt like being controlled by a powerful force, with no power to fight back.
His body grew larger and larger, growing much faster than when he was previously receiving energy infusion, and this growth seemed to have no end. Yun's heart was filled with fear and anxiety. He didn't know what he would become, nor did he know what consequences this change would bring to him.
Yun's gaze swept over Sindyalai and the others. They all had expressions of fear on their faces. Clearly, they were frightened by his current appearance. Yun felt helpless. He couldn't explain all this to them, so he could only silently wait for his body's expansion to end.
The hall was so spacious that Yun felt his body almost touching the ceiling. Just when he thought his body would continue to expand, it suddenly stopped. However, even though his body stopped expanding, the endless flow of energy continued to converge on him.
This energy was incredibly powerful, yet not violent. Instead, it felt easy to control. Yun couldn't help but feel curious. Where did such a powerful energy come from? He began to wonder what he was like now.
When Yun's gaze was drawn to a right hand holding a sickle, his heartbeat instantly accelerated. The hand was unusually large, its dark blue skin appearing eerie in the dim light. The sickle itself exuded a chilling aura, as if it were a symbol of death itself.
A ridiculous thought suddenly flashed through Yun's mind, and it made him gasp. "Aaron?" He called out the name subconsciously, a hint of uncertainty in his voice.
However, the response wasn't Aaron's familiar voice, but a roar. This roar exploded in Yun's ears like thunder, causing his eardrums to ache. Then, a powerful energy blast, like a cannonball, struck him directly.
Yun didn't even have time to react before the energy slammed into him. However, to his surprise, he didn't feel the slightest bit of pain. What did this mean? An ominous premonition welled up in Yun's heart.
He realized that Aaron and Sintiara were no match for him. Facing such a powerful foe, fleeing might be the wisest option. However, judging by Aaron and Sintiara's behavior, they clearly had no intention of leaving, which deepened Yun's worries.
Yun took a deep breath, gathered his composure, and decided to try to contact the Firstborn again. He prayed silently in his heart, hoping that the Firstborn would hear his call.
"First Born!" Yun concentrated his mind and sent out his thoughts. However, this time, he received no response, and there was only dead silence all around.
Yun frowned, unwilling to give up. So, he called out another name: "Flore?"
However, the result was still disappointing silence.
Yun became increasingly anxious, not knowing what to do. At this critical moment, he suddenly thought of the last possible savior—Sargeras.
"Sargeras!" Yun called out the name, hoping to get a response.
"Little friend, you really surprise me! Although your soul has not changed at all, your body has undergone such a huge change." Sargeras' voice came, revealing a hint of doubt.
Yun asked anxiously, "I can't feel my body at all now. What's going on? Can you help me check it out?"
Sargeras seemed to be deeply interested in the cloud's condition. He replied jokingly, "Oh? Can't feel your body? How did you become like this? And where am I now? Let me see if I can open a portal and go over there to take a look."
Yun answered somewhat embarrassedly, "I... I'm in the Burning Throne." He secretly groaned in his heart that he was actually in Sargeras' lair, and it was obvious that Sargeras had ill intentions towards him, but he ended up falling into his trap. Now he was shamelessly asking for help, which made him feel very embarrassed.
"Burning Throne? You mean the Burning Throne in my base on Argus?" There was obvious surprise in Sargeras' voice.
Yun quickly responded, "Well, yes, I... I defeated Aggramar, and then came to the bottom of Aggramar, and then..." His words suddenly became hesitant, because he had encountered too many unexpected things after that, and for a moment he didn't know where to start.
"Haha, kid, you've truly opened my eyes!" Sargeras's laughter seemed to carry a hint of surprise. "With your strength, you're actually able to directly confront Aggramar. This is already an extremely rare thing. However, you not only fought him, but also defeated him. This is truly unbelievable. I'm now filled with curiosity about you. I really want to see what kind of existence you are now."
Yun Yi's brow furrowed slightly, his suspicions growing. He felt that there was something fishy about Aggramar's appearance, as if everything wasn't as simple as it seemed.
"You don't care?" Yun Yi pressed, "Or is Aggramar just a trap you set?"
Sargeras' tone revealed a hint of surprise. He seemed puzzled by Yun Yi's question. "Trap? What trap? I don't understand what you are talking about."
Upon seeing this, Yun Yi quickly explained, "It's... it's when I fought Aggramar, and I defeated him almost instantly. However, at the moment he was defeated, his energy suddenly gathered into a magic circle below. And it was in this magic circle that I underwent some kind of transformation, becoming what I am now."
There was obviously more confusion in Sargeras' voice, "Instant? Magic circle?" He muttered to himself, as if trying to understand the situation described by Yun Yi.
Yun was completely bewildered. He couldn't figure it out. Wasn't this something Sargeras had created? Besides him, who else could have built something so massive on the Burning Throne? Could someone from another faction be here? Or was this a spy planted by the Light or the Titans? Wouldn't his reckless actions ruin their plans?
The more Yun thought about it, the more he felt that things were not going well. He couldn't help but feel a little worried. "Um... don't you know about this place?" He asked cautiously, praying silently in his heart that he would not get into any big trouble because of his actions.
However, Sargeras' answer made him even more confused, "Haha, I already know who they are, they are just a bunch of jumping clowns. But, I'm not quite sure what the function of this magic circle is." Sargeras' tone was full of disdain, as if he didn't care about these so-called "jumping clowns" at all.
Yun felt a little relieved after hearing what Sargeras said, but he still couldn't help but ask curiously: "I want to ask, is it possible that this magic circle is the magic circle for the awakening of the Star Soul?"
However, Sargeras denied his idea without hesitation, "Impossible, they would never want the Star Soul to awaken." His tone was extremely firm, as if he was completely sure of this.
"But..." Yun was speechless, thinking to himself: Isn't he the awakened Argus? There's no Pantheon here, so how can Sintiare defeat him? Worse still, even Sargeras is nowhere to be found. What should he do?
Yun became more and more anxious, and he couldn't help but ask, "Have you found anything?" After all, Sargeras knew very well that Yun could master the power of time and space. Yun was so hesitant at this moment, he must have noticed something important.
"I... I'm not quite sure, I just feel like the Star Soul has awakened. By the way, I can't control my body at all now. Can you find a way to stop the time here temporarily?" Yun's tone revealed a hint of urgency, because he clearly felt that these energies were becoming more and more stable. If he didn't think of a way, he would probably swing his knife at Sindyale and the others soon.
However, Sargeras's answer disappointed Yun: "I'm afraid that's impossible. You don't seem to have any major problems."
Yun's heart grew increasingly anxious, and he quickly explained, "It's not my health that's the problem, it's my men! If this continues, I'm afraid I'll soon have to chop them to death with my own hands!"
"This is not difficult. You just need to give them energy. Don't you have the ability to bestow? Once they obtain your gift, you will become one of their own in the eyes of those brainless guys." Sargeras explained in a relaxed tone.
Yun was embarrassed when he heard this. He smiled bitterly and said, "Ah? But I... I can't move at all now."
Sargeras smiled faintly, as if he had already expected Yun's answer. He continued to explain slowly, "Who told you that the gift must be achieved through contact? The control of energy is actually a manifestation of consciousness, and the transfer of energy can completely transcend the limitations of space."
After hearing this, Yun nodded thoughtfully, secretly lamenting that his understanding of energy was too superficial.
"Okay, then I'll give it a try." After hesitating for a moment, Yun finally made up his mind to give it a try.
However, just as he was about to use his ability to bestow his powers, he suddenly realized that there were other people around him, and he couldn't help but feel a little embarrassed. After all, his ignorance was being known to more and more people. Was this good or bad for him?
Just as Yun was lost in thought, Sargeras' voice rang out again, "I'm truly a little jealous of you. You know nothing about many things, yet you're still so powerful. Your speed of advancement is truly astonishing! I can't even begin to imagine how far you'd advance if you possessed a complete knowledge base."
"Perhaps it's because you know too much, and are too dogmatic, that you lack innovation." Yun scratched his head, unsure how to respond. He secretly groaned inwardly, absolutely not being able to claim he was naturally gifted, or else he'd be beaten to death by this powerful being before him!
Sargeras suddenly laughed, a laugh that seemed to carry a hint of disdain. "Innovation? Haha, we innovate all the time! The universe is so vast, countless bizarre things happen every day. Almost everything is unprecedented, with no prior experience to draw on. Every time something new appears, we need to thoroughly study it and develop a strategy, otherwise our enemies will seize this weakness to attack us."
Yun felt a wave of embarrassment upon hearing this. He realized how childish and ignorant his words had been. For a powerful being like Sargeras, who had battled countless battles throughout the universe and encountered all sorts of bizarre things every day, how could he possibly be so conservative? Yun's words only served to expose his own shallowness.
At this critical moment, Yun had no time to think carefully, because he felt that the energy in his body was extremely abundant. So, he directly controlled this energy without hesitation, and like a surging torrent, it quickly connected to Aaron's body.
This move caught everyone off guard. Their eyes widened in shock, as if they had witnessed the end of the world, and they retreated in panic. Sindyalae was especially horrified. She reacted most drastically. Seeing Yun's energy line about to reach Aaron, she immediately raised her weapon, ready to sever it.
However, just as she was about to make a move, another energy line wrapped around her body like a ghost at lightning speed, leaving her completely unable to move.
"What happened to you?" Medivh looked at the chaotic situation in front of him with horror, his voice trembling.
"These things are obviously coming for us." Tal Rasha's face was equally pale, and her voice was filled with fear and despair.
"Then what should we do? Save them?" Medivh's heart was full of conflict. On the one hand, he wanted to save Aaron and Sintiare, but on the other hand, he was deeply afraid of the unknown enemy.
"How can we save them? Our strength is far inferior to his. We will die in vain if we try to save them." Tal Rasha's tone was extremely heavy. She knew very well that with their current strength, they could not compete with this mysterious enemy at all.
After a brief discussion, Medivh and Tal Rasha finally decided that the wisest option was to retreat quickly and go back for reinforcements. So, without hesitation, the two turned around and began to run back for their lives.
Although Yun felt a little uncomfortable with their decision, he also understood that it was indeed the right thing to do under the circumstances. After all, as long as the green mountains remain, there will be no shortage of firewood.
Aaron had a look of horror on his face, while Cindyale was obviously excited, an excitement that came from the heart, as she looked at the cloud that had become very huge with excitement.
